We Are All In This Country; We Saw You When You Were In Opposition And In Power- Randy Abbey

The host of the Good Morning Ghana show, Randy Abbey, has admitted some hard truths on live TV about politicians in this country, especially those in the New Patriotic Party and the National Democratic Congress. Randy Abbey stated without fear or favor that he has generally observed that some politicians act differently when they have power and change all of a sudden when they are in opposition.

He cited how all of a sudden, the major streets of Ghana are filled with posters and billboards of major NPP aspirants. According to him, this is so because of the fact that they are in power. However, they will become modest immediately after going into opposition

“The point however is made that when the party is in opposition, you see a certain level of modesty in some of these things. But when he is in power, there is this kind of overdrive which then creates the impression that it is perhaps the access to funds in the government.

“Because we all live in this country, we see how people conduct themselves when they do not have power and how they conduct themselves when they have power. And that seems to be the issue.”
