Following the president of Ghana’s decision to take the country to the International Monetary Fund for Bailout is now the top topic most people in the country discuss. According to some popular individuals in the country, the IMF bailout should be out because the president gave full assurance that the E-levy could solve the crisis the economy is facing.
After it was initiated, things didn’t work well as it was expected. Now the finance minister believes E-levy will be the solution. Should we accept or not because that was the same message they told Ghanaians during the E-levy.
Fast forward to Wontumi TV Dr. Kwesi Kyei who is a prominent member of the New Patriotic Party reveals anybody who will say Ghana should go to IMF for a bailout that person is “mad”. Now his comment has landed him into trouble as Ghanaians are calling him to come out to explain what he said to Nana Addo. He revealed Ghana has been to IMF 17 times and the result is still the same.
Had I known is always at last. Now that he is being tormented by his own statements, it is clear why you shouldn’t trust politicians. After supporting the Bill of E-levy and criticizing the IMF. They are advocating what they spoke against.
