Tina Amoah is a 28 years old woman from Northern Region but stays at Sokoban with her boyfriend well known as Ato Kwamena. The woman gave an explanation that she has two children and they are staying in a wooden structure but when she was pregnant with her second child, her boyfriend told her to use her own money to abort the child but she didn’t do it.
When the man found out that she didn’t do the abortion, he went to work and didn’t come back home again. Tina said the man convinced her to let him save the GHC4,000 she has saved from her work in his bank account but he didn’t give it back to her. One month later, she went to his workplace to inform his boss about what her boyfriend is doing.
The boss advised him to go back home, but he just came to sleep in the house for only one night. A few months later she found out that Kwamena was staying with another woman in their neighbourhood, the woman went to confront that woman but she hit her with a stick and she too fought with her. The woman said Kwamena came back home after she fought with his girlfriend and packed his belongings and left.
Tina said it was her neighbour who helped to pay her hospital bills after she gave birth. Kwamena came home one evening to plead with her to forgive him but he didn’t pay the hospital bills. Few months later, she had a misunderstanding with him for not taking care of her. She then requested for her money but he beats her till she started bleeding from her nose, Ato told her that she is a prostitute and also not a good woman he can marry that’s why he left her for that woman.
