John Dramani Mahama has suggested some measures to government to help save Ghanaians from economic hardships.
Speaking at a public lecture on Wednesday, John Dramani Mahama revealed that the president should immediately fire his Finance Minister. According to him, the Finance minister has failed to do the needful in the management of the country’s finances.
John Mahama also added that their should be a major shake up in the government. He added that some ministers have turned their ministries into kingdoms.
“It will serve the president well to use some items from the presidential tool kits in times of crises such as this. The first is to address the nation and explain the situation in which we are and rally the support of the citizens who are behind any economic program that he wants to put forward.”
“The second is to fire his finance minister. The third is to conduct a major shake up of your government to remove all dead roots that have turned the ministries into kingdoms” he said.
After John Mahama made the statement that President Akuffo Addo should fire his Finance Minister, the crowd at the lecture room gave John Mahama as round of applause for making such bold statement.
