Yesterday was a very busy day for the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Honourable Samuel Abu Jinapor. The Member of Parliament of Damongo constituency presented mining licences for some small scale mining companies in the country.
Honourable Samuel Abu Jinapor had a hectic day yesterday, but he was able to undertake all his duties and responsibilities. He was in a meeting chaired by the Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on retaining the value of our mineral. He was i also invited to the Parliament to answer questions pertaining to his ministry and other meetings.
But a meeting that will make several small scale miners happy is when he met with the leadership of the National Association of Small Scale Miners.
Honourable Abu Jinapor, in this meeting presented ninety-five small scale mining licences to the leadership of the small scale mining association’s leadership in the country.
According to the Minister, these licences were reviewed by the Small Scale Miners and it was also vetted by the Minerals Commission and a team from the Ministry led by the Deputy Minister of Lands and Natural Resources Honourable George Mireku Duker.
