AriseGhana Demo: Mahama’s Aide “Slams” Facebook Fan For Questioning His Post About Police Brutality

The ongoing massive demonstration which was organized by Arise Ghana, a group consisting of some NDC members and concerned citizens has been making waves on the internet for the past few days. The demonstration is a two-day protest against the government. Sammy Gyamfi even described this demonstration as the biggest in Ghana’s history.

The Ghana Police Service has served a notice to the public concerning some brutalities in the ongoing demonstration. The police showed a picture of how a police officer has been injured by the demonstrators.

Felix Ofosu Kwakye, an aide to Ghana’s former president has also posted a picture of a demonstrator who was badly hurt by some police officers at the ongoing demonstration.

After making this post, a fan by name Que Qu Gye Nyame commented on his post and asked Felix Kwakye if he didn’t also see how the protestors also injured a police officer. Felix Kwakye immediately replied the fan and urged him to get out of his Facebook wall.

There have been reports that the Ghana Police service have opened tear gas on the demonstrators following their failure to follow laid down rules. Some persons have sustained minor injuries. Others are receiving treatment at various mobile health centers at the scene.
