The director of communications in the office of the president, Mr. Eugene Arhin has reacted to Okudzeto Ablakwa’s claims that President Akuffo has spent an amount of ¢4.1 million on his recent international travels.Â
In a three-page document released by Eugene Arhin, he clearly revealed that what Okudzeto Ablakwa said about the president was purely false and inaccurate.
In the document, Eugene Arhin clearly revealed that the president Akuffo Addo did not travel in any private jet as alleged by Okudzeto Ablakwa. According to Eugene Arhin, the president traveled in a commercial flight (Air France, AF0584) to Germany. He added that the plane took off from Accra around 7:20pm. Eugene Arhin further revealed that all the 12-member delegates who were with the president also traveled in a commercial flight.
Eugene Arhin believes that as a member of Parliament, he always expect the truth and accuracy from them but Okudzeto Ablakwa seems to have turned a new leaf.
“These claims by North Tongu MP are not accurate, and as a Member of Parliament, I was hoping he would have been factual and truthful in his claims, and resisted the urge to engage in propaganda” he said
Below is the three-page document released by the Eugene Arhin to prove Okudzeto Ablakwa wrong.
