Nsoatreman FC Owner, Honourable Baffour-Awuah, believes Nsoatreman FC took their chances effectively against Tamale FC in fierce competition for premier league promotion at the Accra Sports Stadium yesterday.
Hon. Baffour-Awuah, who serves as the Minister of Employment and Labour Relations and owner of Baffour Soccer Academy, acknowledged quality display during play-off match but his side focusing solely on an opportunity in capitalizing to their advantage.
“Tamale City is not a bad team at all, they are an equally, a good side. We only took our chances and that gave us the victory that we needed”.
“It could have been our wish to have qualified at the zonal level.
But we were competing amongst sixteen teams which were all equally good.
Much as you would expect to win your games, other teams were equally also winning their games”, he stated.
Hon. Baffour-Awuah, recognizes past rivalry matches by both teams en route to premier league promotion.
“Interestingly, when we went to Tamale they beat us 1-0 and then they came to our end and we also beat them 1-0. So it tells you that it a purely balanced game”, he concluded.
