The president of the Ghana Football Association Kurt Okraku has confirmed that the GFA will help the Under 17 squad continue its developmental agenda. The Black Starlets suffered a defeat to Burkina Faso in the semi-finals of the WAFU Zone B tournament making them miss the Under 17 AFCON in Algeria.
The GFA who was in the dressing room after the game congratulated them for their effort and also assured them of the Association’s support. “We share your pain, you gave it your all but you didn’t get the result you wanted.” Kurt Okraku said.
He told them that the GFA plans to keep this group of players to ensure their development and that this is not the end of their road as they will help them blossom. Your efforts and hard work will pay off one day. After this, the Black Starlets are going to face Ivory Coast in the 3rd place playoffs whereas Nigeria faces Burkina Faso for the trophy.
