The member of Parliament for North Tongu Constituency Honorable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has further revealed that David Adjaye separately charged Ghana again for design of the integration of a Bible Mesueum and biblical gardens in the ongoing National Cathedral Project.
In a post shared on his official Facebook page on Monday, 20th June 2022, he wrote;
“In addition to David Adjaye’s 12.5% charge for his original design which amounted to US$21.37million (after a trade discount), he separately charged Ghana again for the later “design of the integration of a Bible Museum & Biblical Gardens” which was paid out of the 29th October, 2020 unconstitutional US$25million seed money. (Please read paragraph 11 of National Cathedral statement, as attached, carefully.)
The Almighty Lord will keep exposing this grand presidential heist perpetrated in His Holy Name.”
Okudzeto shared a paragraph from the document to prove his assertion.
“The total budget for the assignment is USD 23,750,000.00 payable in Ghana Cedi equivalent at the prevailing Bank of Ghana forex rate at the time of payment The fee accounts for 12.5% of the estimated total construction cost of USD 190,000,000.00.” The document revealed.
The comments of Okudzeto comes as a background to the much talked about money given to David Adjaye as a contract to design the national cathedral.
