Kwame Asare Obeng popularly known as A Plus has commented on the ongoing Accra- Tema Motorway rehabilitation. He said that under John Mahama the “incompetent” president, Engineers and planners undertook this same Accra – Tema Motorway project at no cost to the state and instead of the current road Minister praising them, he rather went to talk about how bad the previous job was. He further demanded that Ghanaians as taxpayers are entitled to know how much the project cost.
In a post shared on his official Facebook page on Saturday, 18th June, he said that what Ibrahim Mahama with support from people like J.K. Horgle did for free is what we as a country have enjoyed for about 8 years.
” They used their own money to purchase the steel abroad and airlifted it to Ghana. In 3 days they rehabilitated the road for all of us, for free!! Instead of saying a simple thank to Mr Ibrahim Mahama et al, you rather went there to talk about how bad the previous job was.” A Plus remarked.
He further asserted that now that the Road Minister, Amoako Atta, has undertaken the same project and claim it will last forever, We want to say a big thank him.
” However, we as taxpayers are asking how much it cost and expect you as a public SERVANT to forget about working “day and night” and be accountable to us. You didn’t do the project with your money. You did it with the E-Levy you collect from poor people so cost is very important.” A Plus said.
