Police Arrest One Suspect and Pursue Two Others for the Murder of an 85 Year Old Man

The Ghana Police Service has apprehended one suspect and on manhunt for two other suspects for their involvement in the murder of an 85 years old man.

According to the statement by the Ghana Police Service, the 85 years old man left home since the 13th June but was reported missing on the 14th June, 2022. The incident happened specifically in Kpetoe in the Volta Region of Ghana. The deceased was found under a tree on his farm.

The police on June 16, 2022, arrested John Odonu, a welder for his suspected involvement in the murder of an 85 year old man Joseph Tawiah Darko in Kpetoe in the Volta Region.

The 85 year-old diseased was reported missing on June 14, 2022, after he had left home on the 13th June and did not return.

His decapitated body was found under a tree on his farm the body has since been deposited at the whole teaching hospital for preservation and autopsy.

Invest investigations are ongoing and efforts are being made to address to others whose names have come up in the investigations and are suspected to be linked to the murder.

The Police arranged the suspect John Odonu before court and has been remanded to reappear on June 29, 2022.

The Ghana police is therefore calling on the general public and from members of the community in particular and the general to hrlp in the investigation into the case.
