A trending cartoon on social media has summarized one of the elements that accounts for the current economic hardship we are facing. Aside the global element and the governments elements, the cartoon named some selfish Ghanaians as one of the reason why prices are skyrocketing leading to the general hardship we are facing.
“Kofi will buy Gari for GHc 4 and sell it for GHc 15. Kofi will later complain about hard economy. We are out own demons. Accra is too expensive!”

The lead Convener of the Fix The Country Movement, Oliver Barker Vorwamor, decided to politicize the whole issue but he did it in a sarcastic manner.
“Ghanaians, please go to where Kofi bought the Gari. Do not buy it from Kofi. There, I just solved a Ukraine War”, he wrote.
This got Ghanaians to massively react. Oliver Barker Vorwamor was trying to face the reality that it is not always the Government who imposes hardship on the citizenry. But rather, Ghanaians themselves should be blamed.
