Johnnie Hughes, host of the TV3 show New Day, has taken another shot at the country’s leadership.
Johnnie Hughes highlighted this morning on TV3’s Johnnie’s Bite show that certain politicians prefer to listen to the harsh things he (Johnnie Hughes) speaks on TV rather than the rationale and thought behind it. He addressed this, revealing that instead of politicians doing the right thing and addressing the issues that he raises, they just respond to the criticizing component of his delivery.
He went on to say that politicians attack him because he frequently abuses or uses harsh language against them, but they also fail to address the problem that he has presented.
According to Johnnie Hughes, if a politician believes that he or she is well-made or wealthy enough, and that he or she cannot endure public criticism, then it is best for them to leave their jobs and pursue private work.
This comes after Johnnie Hughes shared videos of how some schoolchildren in Accra were nearly drowned during a strong downpour. The bus transporting the children became stuck on a broken bridge, and community people had to intervene to save the children. He delivered a strong message to the men and women of the Assembly, as well as the DCE, to do what was necessary to repair the bridge.
