A cross-section of residents  in the Ekumfi Constituency in the Central Region particularly those at Ekumfi Atwa have expressed worry about the deplorable situation that their roads posed for them, and accordingly appealed to the government for attention.
Speaking to this Corresppndent in reaction to the road challenges confronting them, the residents alleged that for the past ten years, Atwaman have never enjoyed any decent road in their area.
Stressing that they have to park home the motor cycles they use as a source of their transport to farms to avoid breakdown.
A farmer Kojo Yankson said as a result of the bad roads situation greeting the area many drivers have refused to work at the area, and this compell the residents to walk several kilometers before they could get access to vehicles to do business.
Maame Yaa Mansah a trader who appears visibly unhappy cited about how her fishing business is gradually collapsing as a result of the transport challenges confronting the traders at the area.
Further interviews revealed that former Npp Mp for the Constituency Hon Ato Cujoe gave several promises to fix the roads but he woefully failed to fulfilled his promises unit his exit.
As if that was not enough, the Corresppndent gathered that when the Ndc Mp Hon Abeiku Crenstil also took the mantle as the Mp for the area he was alleged to have made promises to fix the roads but to no avail.
According to them the events taking place at Ekumfi Atwa and it’s surrounding towns suggest that they have been allegedly curtailed from the national cake.
This time round we will start to demonstrate against Hon Abeiku Crenstil been the Mp over his alleged continuous lies on the roads maintenance to express our anger to him, the corespondent gathered.
And if Abeiku Crenstil continue to fail us we will intensify our demonstration network to the highest level, hence we are directing the appeal to the government through Hon Abeiku Crenstil for immediate attention, Egya Otenkorang an elder of the town indicated.
