The latest transfer stories –

According to The Times, Arsenal is becoming increasingly confident that a deal to capture Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus is close to being finalized. According to the source, the Brazilian forward wants to join Arsenal, who are poised to increase their offer, which is currently below City’s £50 million valuation.

With Jesus’ contract at City coming to an end this summer, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is said to have made signing the 25-year-old one of his top goals this summer.

Yves Bissouma has passed his Tottenham medical ahead of his move from Brighton. Spurs will pay £25 million for the Mali midfielder, with performance-related add-ons potentially pushing the price up to £35 million.

Bissouma is believed to have arrived in the UK yesterday and stayed at “the Lodge,” the on-site hotel at Hotspur Way. He is poised to sign a long-term contract with the club, making him the club’s third signing of the summer window after Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster.

Alessandro Antonello, Inter Milan’s chief executive, has confirmed Romelu Lukaku’s wish to return to Inter Milan from Chelsea. Inter are optimistic of completing a loan deal for the Belgian striker, who joined Stamford Bridge from Milan for £97.5 million last season, according to Sky Sports News.

“Until the 2024–25 season, we wish to observe UEFA’s new Financial Fair Play guidelines,” he stated. “As long as it’s economically sound, we can do anything.”
