Nana Addo Has Done Double What Rawlings, Kuffuor, Atta Mills And Mahama Did. The Record Is Clear

When asked about Mahama’s achievements as a President, all what communicators from the National Democratic Congress can boldly say is that Mahama built more infrastructural facilities than any other President. Even after Nana Addo’s first term in office, the National Democratic Congress crowned Former President, John Dramani Mahama as the “infrastructure King of Ghana”.

The interesting part of this narration is that the records so far do not support any of this claims and assertions. In the educational sector, the current Nana Addo led administration is building more classroom blocks and other educational facilities. An outstanding data provided by Gabby Otchere Darko has concluded the debate as to which President, has the best infrastructural development record. And this data was restricted to the construction of libraries.

“In 1981, Ghana had 36 libraries. By January 2017, 36 years later, 25 more had been added, giving Ghana 61 libraries altogether. Today, from 61 to 100 under six years”

Meaning that Former Presidents, John Jerry Rawlings, John Agyekum Kuffuor, The Late President John Evans Atta Mills and John Dramani Mahama contributed less than 22% to the 110 libraries we have in Ghana( Note that this figure will keep on reducing so far as more libraries are built).

As we speak now, Nana Addo has doubled the libraries that his four predecessors in the fourth republic has done altogether. His contribution to the current number of libraries Ghana has is more than 40% just in six years. And this figure will keep on increasing so far as he is President.

This figures shows Nana Addo’s prioritization of education in Ghana and further elevates him as the only President so far, who has moved education to a different level. This is what Gabby Otchere Darko said about these facts:

There is no doubt that the Nana Addo administration has prioritised education more than any other government in our history. The results may not be that obvious to some today to some but the Future leaders of this country appreciate what this means to them and to the future development of Ghana.
