Belgian top-flight side Royal Antwerp tables offer for Asante Kotoko defender Imoro Ibrahim

Belgium Jupiler League side Royal Antwerp has tabled an offer for Asante Kotoko left-back Imoro Ibrahim according to reports in the local media.

Imoro, has been very impressive for the Porcupines this season with his contributions to the club helping them to clinch the Ghana Premier League, GPL title.

And in recognition of his efforts for the Garden City club, Antwerp wants to add the talented player to their outfit ahead of the start of the next campaign in Belgium.

The club is proposing an initial loan deal for the local Black Stars player with an option to buy at the end of next season.

It is understood that Asante Kotoko has rejected their initial offer, with the Ghanaian champions believed to be wanting more from the financial package presented them.

The two clubs are still in negotiations for the release of the player who has been a constant hit since joining the Porcupines a couple of seasons ago.

Imoro Ibrahim holds the record for the most assists, (9) in the 2021/22 GPL competition which ends this weekend.

It will be interesting to see whether Asante Kotoko will allow the player to leave as they hold him in high esteem and will want to have him on their rooster for their foray into Africa next season.

The Porcupines will be looking to do well in the upcoming CAF Champions League and, they will need to have all of their key players on board if they are to make an impact in the competition which starts in August this year.
