A 37 years old man who didn’t reveal his name for some reason reasons shares in an interview about what a fetish priest told him after the death of their father. According to the man both his parents were fetish priest and all of them were iniated into worship the smaller gods worship. The man shared that he used to fall sick frequently at his tender age. His parents sent him to different shrines to help him recover from the illness.
He claimed that his father send all of them to the shrine to offer sacrifice for them whenever they celebrate their festival. The man said he decides to stop worshipping the smaller gods and become a christian. His father told him that he won’t allow him to become a christian but he insisted on becoming a christian. His father then gave him a task to complete before he can go ahead and go to church.
Fortunately, he was able to complete the task and he started going to church. He again said he was not intelligent in school but he was able to complete Senior High School. He continued that both of the parents are no more but after his father’s funeral rites, one of the fetish priests reveals to him that their destiny has been initiated into the smaller gods so they have to buy cows and fowls to perform some rituals before they can succeed in life.
The man told the fetish priest that he is a Christian and cannot go to offer any sacrifice at shrine. He said he is facing lots of life challenges due to the smaller gods they worship. He reveals that he used to have bad dreams about fighting with a man who always threatened to kill him because he didn’t offer the sacrifice but continued going to church. The man concluded he needs help so that he can stop having those bad dreams.
