Residents of Assin Juaben in the Central Region are calling on the Inspector General of the Ghana Police Service, Dr George Dampare, to send Personnel to an abandoned police post in the locality.
According to the report, the abandoned Police post has now turned into a ‘weed’ smoking joint with some residents also using the post for sexual activities.
The project was commissioned by former president John Dramani Mahama but has since been left unused. The place has been taking over be weeds and a home for “wee smokers.”
The report further noted that the post was put to use initially but was later abandoned without any explanation.
The people of the area are therefore calling on the IGP to sent some men there and put the place to use for them as the facility will benefit the community and also help to curb the activities of the illegal users.
Hope the IGP will act accordingly to the request of the residents.
