Former Black Stars player, Godwin Attram has applauded Otto Addo’s tactics towards the Black Stars formidability.
Attram, emphasized the current status of results in the ongoing Kirin Tournament in Japan is a tactic used by the head coach to hide his future structure of players in the Black Stars team en route to Qatar 2022 World Cup. “Very good coaches doesn’t bring out their tactics just like that. They feel the quality that you’ve on board has to suit to your tactics. I think that the players that they took there, that’s exactly what they are using there in their tactics and it has worked perfectly”, he narrated. Attram, further addressed the mentality of coaches towards player in course of impending tournament helping to build a team.
“Coaches like to assemble players, then they plan for their tactics. We have few months before we go to the world cup. As it stands right now, he’s open his doors for all players outside especially professionals players and and even some of the locals. Whenever players are assembled in the national team, they train with the coaches. coaches say that this player he needs time, he needs time before he can gel with the strategy on the pitch. He’ll bring you in and take you out. That’s exactly what he’s doing now.
There are some qualifying matches and then also some friendly matches that will also bring in some players and at the end finally, he’ll select his 30 players. We’ll have some players we know that these are the key players. That will help to get our formidable, compact team for the world cup that he feels they can do the job for the nation”. Coach Otto Addo has played 6 games, drawn 4 games, won 2 games and lost once.
