“I Was Affected by The Exit of Gladson Awako” – Ghana Coach

Accra Great Olympics Head coach, Annor Walker, has lamented the exit of former talismanic captain to city rival affected the club’s result in relation to games and even off the pitch performance.

Walker, believes Gladson Awako’s transfer to Hearts of Oak weakened the dressing room and pitch dominance. “Awako leaving also affected me, not him alone but Michel Otoo also leaving, in fact if they had been there, maybe, it would have been a different story this year. I will not hide it, it also affected me”, he noted.

Walker, emphasized on other roles that Awako played in ensuring greater output through his leadership excellence. “On the field of play, after I have done my work at training and in the dressing room, on the field, Awako takes over.

I give out instructions, and he passes on to the players on the field of play. So you can hear me always saying, Awako is my assistant coach. I always say that”, he concluded.
