Ghana’s Goalkeeper Saves Two Penalty Kicks To Defeat Chile, Despite Getting Two Red Cards

The Black Stars of Ghana have successfully defeated Chile to get the third place in the 4-nation tournament in Japan. Even though some complications came along the way for the Ghanaians but they were able to win.

The game started very well for both national teams. The first part of the game ended in a goaless draw but the second half was tragic for the Black Stars because they got two red cards.

Ghanaian defender Alidu Seidu and popular midfielder Mubarak Wakaso got red cards. Alidu Seidu got the first red card on the 67th minute and Mubarak Wakaso got his on the 78th minute of the game.

This was very disappointing for the Black Stars but brilliantly, the 9 players managed to hold on without conceding a goal till the whistle was blown for penalties. Just like every Ghanaian knows Black Stars they are not good when it comes to penalties but just like the saying goes “there is always a first time”, the same way the Black Stars of Ghana won the penalties on 3-1.

The Black Stars of Ghana scored all their three penalties but Chile missed three of their and scored only one. Ghanaian players, Jordan Ayew, Mohammed Kudus and Fatawu Abdul Issahaku scored from the spot kick.

One person that deserves all the glory this morning is the Black Stars Goalkeeper Abdul Manaf Nurudeen.

The Eupen Goalkeeper single handedly saved two penalty kicks. His composure and the he stretched himself to save these penalties shows that he is definitely our goalkeeper for penalty kicks.
