The National Communication Team Member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Emmanuel Adotey Allotey but popularly called Adade does not understand the reason why the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersex (LGBTQI) bill is delaying in Parliament and for that matter, he reacts.
According to Adade, when the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government introduced the tax on electronic transactions (E-levy) around last year (2021), they tried ways and means to implement it with the help of the agencies in Ghana and through the agencies, the tax is functioning effectively.
Adade said the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government can not do the same to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Intersex (LGBTQI) bill and this simply means they like the act.
Adade then said that if the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government dislikes the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersex (LGBTQI), then they should use agencies to push the bill as they did to the tax on electronic transactions (E-levy).
