It is affecting us negatively: student union of UDS reveal impact of conflict in Upper East

Student Union of the University for Development Studies have lamented about the negative effect of the ongoing conflict in the Upper East Region of Ghana.

The students told the TV3 journalist that they are unable to go home due to the security challenges that can be faced whilst embarking on such journeys. The students added that due to the threats, they have not been able to enjoy vacations outside their campus.

According to the student union, the conflict has also affected economic activities in the region such that they are always afraid to buy foodstuffs and other things from the markets. According to them, due to the conflict, the lives of families or friends in the Region are in danger posing psychological trauma to them.

The Student Union also made an appeal that the conflict should be resolved to bring back peace and development for the people of Upper East Region. What are your thoughts on the impact of the said conflict?
