FC Samartex to be crowned champions of DOL Zone Two on Sunday

National Division One League, DOL side FC Samartex will be crowned champions of their zone as winners of the competition on Sunday.

The Timber Giants have gained entry into the Ghana Premier League, GPL next season after picking the sole ticket from the zone, beating 15 other clubs to it.

FC Samartex will be honoured for their efforts this season after their home game with New Edubiase United at Samreboi on Sunday afternoon.

The club secured qualification to the GPL with three matches to spur and, it is great testament on how they have played this season in their league.

FC Samartex has aimed to play in the Ghanaian top-flight league since the club was founded in 1996 and now that this has been achieved, they will look to build on this going forward.

The management of the club has announced that they intend to be a handful for teams in the GPL next season hoping to establish themselves as a force in the division.

Officials from the Ghana Football Association, GFA, will be on hand to present the DOL Zone Two trophy and medals to the club after their game with New Edubiase United on Sunday.

It is expected to be a charged atmosphere in Samreboi in the Western region of Ghana this weekend on this historic feat attained by the local club.
