A very bold member of Parliament on the ticket of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Hon. Collins Adomako Mensah has finally revealed why he’s not excited about the National Cathedral and also sent a strong message to the finance minister, Ken Ofori-Atta.
While speaking on the AM Show on Joy News, Hon. Collins Adomako revealed that even though he’s excited about the idea of building a national cathedral which can also be a tourist site, he’s not excited about how the money for the national cathedral has been in the media. He then charged the finance ministry to come clear on the monies being spent on the cathedral.
“ I don’t see anything wrong with building a national cathedral which can also be a tourist site. However, what I’m not excited about the National Cathedral is the revelations coming out concerning the amount of money that have been invested into it’s construction. My worry is that, it’s not uniform. Today we hear is 20million, the next day is 30 million or 50 million. The finance ministry as a matter of urgency should release a statement to explain to everyone the circumstances surrounding the national cathedral. Ghana and need to know.” Collins Adomako boldly revealed this while speaking on Joy News.
