The Managing Director of the State Transport Company (STC), Nana Akomea says in the history of Ghana, a political leader can never become a president if he does not bear the name “John” but currently, it has become different ever since Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo won the 2016 elections.
Some of the previous presidents of the Republic of Ghana who were bearing the name “John” are Jerry John Rawlings, John Agyekum Kufuor, John Evans Atta Mills, and John Dramani Mahama but Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo without the name “John” is currently the president and it might continue since Alhaji Doctor Mahamudu Bawumia and Alan Kwadwo Kyeremateng does not bear that name.
Nana Akomea added that sometimes he does not understand why people mostly ask how long Alhaji Doctor Mahamudu Bawumia has spent in politics whiles he was a running mate in the previous years and currently, he is the vice president.
Alhaji Doctor Mahamudu Bawumia has been in the party over the years and is capable of meeting the Ghanaians’ expectations although he came to meet Alan Kwadwo Kyeremateng so therefore, he is the best man for the work.
