On Paul Adom Otchere’s show, he provided some historical perspectives on the relationships between Former Minister of Foreign Affairs Hannah Tetteh and Former High Commission Jon Benjamin and provided some introductory analysis to what is currently trending between a tweet of the current British High Commissioner to Ghana Harriet Thompson and the current Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare.

Paul justified the IGP’s response as a good one that sought to respond adequately to the British High Commissioner’s tweet especially because she mentioned that she will be interested to see where the case of the motoring offense would go. Paul Adom Otchere further added that since the foreign diplomat’s comment was a public one directed at the responsibility of the security personnel, it was right that the IGP made reference to past experience where it has not been helpful to ignore such statements supposedly as ‘biased and unwarranted ‘.

The highly experienced Journalist who did not mince words at all on his show also made some particular reservations about the letter. He explained that if he was the one who wrote the letter, he would not have added the concluding paragraphs where the revered IGP mentioned that “di wo fie asem” in other words, he would not have added that the foreign diplomat should mind her own business basically because that was a big phrase used by the then Late Professor Atta Mills.

Do you think there is any other reason why Paul would not have used the concluding phrase as used by the revered IGP?

Many have agreed with the sentiments raised by Paul Adom and especially his comment on the “strong-worded concluding paragraph’ was a witty one. Paul has a wise way that he makes his touch screen analysis both attractive and very educative.

Kindly do your best to drop your thoughts on Paul’s analysis of the trending IGP letter. Did the foreign diplomat do well by the coming public in a tweet on issues that worried her? Should the IGP have replied to the foreign diplomat or rather channeled his concerns to the Minister of Interior for further forwarding to the Minister of Foreign Affairs? What impact can the letter from the IGP do on the Ghanaian international reputation?
