Prominent Ghanaian rapper, Michael Owusu Addo, affectionately known in the music industry as Sarkodie has revealed that he is currently on a music break.

This was after a die-hard fan tackled him on the microblogging platform, Twitter, asking him for a new song since it has been quite a while since he dropped a new jam for his fans and all music lovers.
In a swift response to the fan’s plea, Sarkodie stated it shouldn’t be the case that he will be obliged to release a new song just because it’s another year, hence he needs to quench their thirst with a new jam.
He insinuated that he has been dropping songs back to back for over a decade since he emerged into the scene, hence he has decided to go on a one and half year break from releasing a new song.

Meanwhile, Sarkodie, and the Tema-based music duo, R2Bees made up of Omar Sterling and Mugeez are preparing themselves to headline a major concert in New York City, USA.
The three sensational Ghanaian stars will be headlining their very own show o the 30th of July 2022 at the Palladium Time Square in New York City, USA. The show will be organically powered by R2Bees Entertainment and SarkCess .
Sarkodie and R2Bees plan to thrill their fans in New York with intimating performances of some of their hit songs and collaborations they have worked on over the years.
The show will be co-headlined with some of Ghana’s finest stars in the music scene. The names of these stars to perform alongside Sarkodie and R2Bees are yet to be announced.
