Experts have define unexplained deaths, as those types of death, that the causes could not be officially determined or explained; or the type of deaths, with unofficial alternative theories about the cause.

All around the world and even in Ghana, there have been many cases of unexplained deaths. Some of these death cases in Ghana, are the death of an investigative journalist, Ahmed Hussein-Suale; the Killing of NPP MP J.B Danquah Adu, death of Fennec Okyere (MadTime Entertainment and former manager of hiplife artiste), the killing of the Tema Port’s Public Affairs boss, Josephine Asante, and many more.

The latest unexplained death in Ghana, is coming from the Volta Region, where a thunder strike hit 3 hit three persons in Ho.

According to reports by gbcghanaonline.com, the “thunder accompanying a short rainfall in the Ho Municipality of the Volta Region, has struck 3 persons opposite the Regional Office, of the Electricity Company of Ghana, leaving one dead in the process”.

The report further revealed that, “One of the victims who is fear dead is believed to be a coconut seller”; whiles the other two have been rushed to the hospital by the Ambulance Service”.

People do ask, can thunder strike really kill? This has been answered by experts.

According to experts, “thunder strikes can produce severe injuries, and are lethal in between 10 and 30% of cases, with up to 80% of survivors sustaining long-term injuries”.

They again explained that, when thunder strikes; “in most cases, a person’s heart will stop after being struck by lightning, so the key to survival is having someone nearby who can administer CPR. Even if you survive, a lightning strike will have long-lasting effects on your body, memory issues, muscle soreness and changes in mood’?

Experts revealed that, “Of every 10 people struck, nine will survive. But they could suffer a variety of short- and long-term effects, like cardiac arrest, confusion, seizures, dizziness, muscle aches, deafness, headaches, memory deficits, distractibility, personality changes and chronic pain”.

When thunder struck a person, “the overwhelming majority of consequences of being struck by lightning are painful and debilitating, and could stay with the person for the rest of his life”, experts revealed.
