The probability of an NPP or an NDC flag bearer becoming a president in Ghana is very high as compared to other political parties. These two parties have battled each other for the past three decades.Â
NDC’s potential presidential candidate or flag bearer for 2024 happens to be John Mahama and Dr. Kwabena Duffour. There are however other names that are yet to pop up.

There is a high probability that John Mahama may not contest again for flag bearer in the NDC after 2024 elections. This means whether he wins in 2024 or not, he may not contest again. He is the current minority leader in parliament. There is high probability that Haruna Iddrisu will contest and become NDC’s flag bearer for 2028.

He is the member of Parliament for North Tongu Constituency. He is a strong member of the NDC. His current actions show that he is potential for NDC flag bearer position in 2028.
#4. Alban Kingsford Bagbin
He is the current speaker of Parliament. He is a strong member of the NDC and likely to contest and become the President one day.
#5. Sam George
He is the MP for Ningo Prampram constituency. His actions show that he is capable of becoming the flag bearer of the NDC in 2028.Â
