As part of measures by the Government of Ghana to develop the economy, many digital initiatives have been implemented to streamline revenue generation and collection with the aim of providing infrastructural and other developmental projects to improve the living conditions of the populace.
Government declared a “Ghana Beyond Aid” and introduced some policies to achieve this aim of driving the country to be self-dependent.
The Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration is also very keen on digitizing the economy, hence ensuring a unique single platform to promote transparency and accountability during revenue generation and collection.
A research has been conducted to assess this unique platform called the “Unified Common Platform”, explore its benefits and challenges and to assist government in her efforts to salvage the economy.
