The Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government has been the worst under the fourth republic if not the worst in our history.
They have collateralized ESLA till 2035 and collateralized almost GH¢10 billion of GETFUND revenue through the 7-year Daakye bond.
Now they seek to collateralize mineral royalties of about $300 million annually under the Agyapa deal in order to take and spend $ 500 million upfront.This means that those who invest in the Agyapa instrument get to control this $300 million a year for as long as the mines under this arrangement continue to produce gold.
There are also credible reports that they now intend to collateralize the Heritage Fund to borrow $ 2 billion to spend upfront.
In addition to all this,they have mismanaged the economy and imposed unbearable hardships on Ghanaians.
