PK Sarpong Writes On Oliver Baker’s Arrest

Popular writer for the ruling NPP, P.K Sarpong, following the arrest of Oliver Barker-Vormawor has cited some people who were also arrested before. He believes that Oliver Baker is not the first to be arrested and that he is not above the law.

In a post shared on his official Facebook page on Tuesday, 17th May 2022, he wrote;

“A Member of Parliament, Stephen Amoah, was arrested by the Police and it was okay, for the laws of Ghana were working.

Metropolitan Chief Executive from the Secondi/Takoradi enclave was arrested and incarcerated by the police and that was okay because we are under the rule of law, not men.

A man of God, Prophet Owusu Bempah was arrested by Dampare and the Ghana Police Service was praised.

Shatta Wale and Medikal were picked up and kept in jails for some days, and that was a splendid exercise because Ghana’s laws were working for the first time.

PK Sarpong continued that Oliver Barker Vormawor has been arrested for reckless driving and we are being disturbed unnecessarily by some NDC elements and his fixthecountry pals as though he were above the laws of Ghana.”

P.K Sarpong continued that, other Ghanaians can be arrested for one offense or the other but Oliver is so special that he is immune from the shackles of our laws!

So Oliver is no a human being, he is an angel from some strange land who has found himself in Ghana and so, when he flouts our laws, he can’t be questioned.” He quizzed.

P.K Sarpong advised that such hypocritical tendencies ought not to be countenanced by well-meaning Ghanaians. He is not above the laws of Ghana. As long as he flouted traffic regulations, the long arm of the law must not be in a comatose state.

The comments of Oliver comes as a background to the arrest of the Fixthecountry Conveynor, Oliver Barker, today; 17th May 2022 for reckless driving. Just this evening Oliver has updated his Facebook page that he has been released after spending close to 7hours with the police.
