Another Player Receives Black Stars Call up and “We Shouldn’t Beg Them To Play For Us” says Ex-Player

There are lots of sports news circulating on the net and I am here to bring you two of them that stood out to me.

First, the official Twitter page of FC Cartagena which is in the Spanish Segunda Outfit tweeted “International| Confirmed Dauda Mohammed has got a callup from the Ghana Black Stars to play In the AFCON 2023 qualification doubleheader against Madagascar and the Central African Republic and in the matches against Japan and Chile.” as translated from Spanish. He formally played Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League He has already scored 9 goals and given out 3 assists.

Secondly, former player of the Black Stars, Charles Taylor says that the GFA shouldn’t be worrying themselves chasing and begging players to play for the Black Stars. He says that should not be the way. These were his words in an interview, “We don’t need to beg players to play for the Stars. Commitment to the nation should be a priority. When I got my callup for the National Team, I didn’t sleep the whole night. I was upbeat about joining the team. We should not waste time begging players who are not committed to our course.”
