The E-levy initiative by the NPP government has been in controversy since the move started to e in session in the Country.
Apparently, the Government of the Republic of Ghana want to use the revenue made from the E-levy initiative to develop the nation, but most people have been against the move, especially the opposition NDC.
For the opposition NDC, they believe the E-levy move will be a burden on the Ghanaian people and thus, they have plans to repeal the move when they come back to power, but how the government will spend the E-levy money will blow your mind.
We can recall that, Deputy Finance Minister John Kumah recently revealed that, the Ghanaian people will realize the benefits of the e-levy soon, as government intends to create One Million jobs.
“The YouStart programme is a 10-billion facility in the next three years that government is aiming at creating One million jobs in the private sector by young people in the areas of creativity, innovations and helping them to determine their own future.”
government is able to create One Million jobs from the E-levy revenue, Ghanaians will not hesitate in the initiative and will rather support it fully, but if government fails to do so or do not make judicious use of the E-levy revenue, Ghanaians kick against the move.
