The renowned Ghanaian politician and member of the largest opposition party, NDC has finally come out to express massive disappointment in the Akufo Addo government over the unexpected introduction of the controversial Agyapa deal which was rejected alongside the 2022 budget by the minority caucus in parliament.
Speaking in a recent interview on the alarming issue, the renowned politician, Alhassan Suhuyini revealed that, t I’m implementation of the controversial Agyapa deal will unexpectedly sell the country’s future away to the extent that, Ghana will be in huge debt and unstable grande, the Agyapa deal is insensitive and insulting.
“We need to remind ourselves of where we are coming from as far as this deal is concerned. We recall how it was resisted when it was first introduced and the attempt to smuggle it through the 2022 budget which was also resisted by the minority. The finance minister later suggested that it had been dropped. I’m saying he suggested it because current conversations and revelations give the impression that it was only pulled under the table but not too far away from their table. What I have to say and I’m sure I’m doing so on behalf of the minority i that we remain very much opposed to the Agyapa deal in the form that it was being considered at the time. Agyapa deal is insensitive and insulting. How can you sell our future?”, Alhassan Suhuyini emphatically stated.
