There have been some popular statements by politicians in Ghana in the best that we just cannot decide to forget. The then President John Mahama sent an incredible message to Dr. Bawumia and Akufo-Addo during a huge NDC gathering in 2015.
During an NDC gathering on November 15, 2015, President Mahama boldly revealed that the NPP has been insulting him so much that he can’t understand why they are doing that. He then went on to boldly tell Dr. Bawumia and Akufo-Addo that they’ve not come anywhere close to Presidency before and so they can’t be calling him incompetent.
” All the NPP knows is to insult me bitterly. You monitor radio stations and other media platforms and you just hear them insulting me. For me, I take those insults with a pinch of salt. Again, you will hear them tagging me with incompetent Mahama. So wherever they are, if they mention my name, they have to tag me with incompetent. Meanwhile, their Bawumia and Akufo-Addo have not held any position close to Presidency to know how it feels. I will take that word from Kuffour or Rawlings because they’ve been there before and not these guys.” The then President Mahama boldly revealed this in 2015.
