Ghanaians were very glad when his Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo declared 2020 and 2021 as the year of roads. This is to mean that, the Government is going to provide reliable and quality roads for Ghanaians. Just as it was said, the Government embark on the this agenda of road construction and the people of Aduamoa and Aduman in the Eastern Region received their share of the project.
The NPP Government constructed the road for the people in Eastern Region few. But the update we receive today 6th May 2022 shows that, all the roads constructed by the NPP Government few months ago is now in a terrible condition due to small rainfall. The bridge constructed between Aduamoa and Aduman has been washed away. Vehicles cannot move from one side to the other. All moving vehicles have to stop at the other end of the road and the boys will carry the load to another vehicle at the other side.
According to the people living at Aduamoa and Aduman, the constructor did a shoddy and the Government did not take a serious look at the work. Only few months ago, the newly constructed road as become a death trap to them. Therefore, there is the need for the NPP government to call that particular constructor to order and make sure the right thing is done for the people of Aduamoa and Aduman in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
Everything clearly shows that, the NPP Government wasted money on that particular Project and they have to divert resources for the road to be constructed again. This is a total waste to the public purse. The right thing must be done once and for all.
