One of the loud voices from the minority caucus which have refused to be silent after the electronic transfer levy bill was accepted is Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa. He has been consistent on all media platforms and social media page ever since. Thus, after the ruling from the Supreme Court which refused to place an injunction on the implementation on the e-levy as prayed by the minority, Ghanaians expected him to quickly respond and assure them of a better future.
As expected, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa wrote on his social media page, a powerful message.
“Though our injunction application was denied, we take solace in the order of the supreme court to the GRA to ensure that they keep adequate records for a possible mass refund to all Ghanaians in the event that we succeed with a substantive case.
For Justice sake, we fight on”, he wrote on his Facebook wall.
Also from the side of the government, the Attorney General has released a bold statement to the minority.
“You do not go to court with speculations and conjecture, you go to court on firm evidence….The applicants were unable to demonstrate any form of irregularity”.
