Report and new trooping in is that the Supreme Court presided by seven judges panel has unanimously dismissed the application for an injunction case against the electronic transaction levy brought to the Supreme Court by the minority led by Haruna Iddrisu and Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa. This has come as no surprise as many top and leading citizens predicted that that will be the case. Even a leading member of the new patriotic party, Honorable Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, had predicted that the case is dead on arrival.
As it stands now, Ghanaians have no choice but to pay the electronic levy. This got Ghanaians to massively react.
“This unanimous FC Supreme Court justices have not repented even after what the national security minister told them. I thought they would change considering their report from the United States which accused them of taking bribes to give a one-sided figure judgment”, one Ghanaian reacted.
Another Ghanaian blasted the majority for their carelessness at the first place. Check out other reactions
