Defending premier league champions Accra Hearts of Oak have struggled in their title defence. They had virtually the same team as last season. They just lost a few key players which I believe disrupted their season. But that is not enough reason for their poor performances in the premier league this season. They were struggling to beat teams comfortably.
But I believe that the fortunes of the club would have been different had they been more clinical in front of goal. They have struggled to score goals this season. They have been poor, especially at home. Had they been more decisive and clinical at home like their rivals Asante Kotoko, they would have given them a run for their money. They have played 5 draws at home. That is 10 lost points. Imagine they have collected all those points at home. They would have been just 2 points behind leader Asante Kotoko. They need to improve their striking department if they are to make any headway in the league next season.
