Black Stars defender, Gideon Mensah has finally taken sides on the two most decorated football clubs in Ghana in Ghan, Kotoko, and Hearts Of Oak.Â
Now playing in the French Ligue 1, Gideon Mensah admitted that he does not hate Accra Hearts Of Oak, but will go for Kumasi Asante Kotoko on any day.
“I will go for Kotoko not because I hate Hearts. I have a couple of players in Hearts”
“When I was growing up, my dad was a Kotoko fan and we had [Kotoko] calendars everywhere in our rooms so I grew up getting used to Kotoko”- Gideon Mensah.
Hearts Of Oak currently has two former Black Stars players in Sulley Ali Muntari and Samuel Inkoom playing for them in the Ghana Premier League.Â
Gideon Mensah has been part of the Black Stars and was instrumental when Ghana qualified for the World Cup over Nigeria in both legs.Â
