Ghone Television journalist Nana Aba Anamoa couldn’t stand the sad scenes as captured and filed by her colleague journalist. She branded the whole thing as totally Heartbreaking as she took us through the mortuary video documentary engineered by Godwin Asediba.
” Take a few minutes to watch the sorry state of our mortuaries and how bad working conditions are for staff. Totally heartbreaking, this one. Godwin Asediba filed this report.” Nana Aba Anamoa wrote on Facebook.
In the video which was set inside the Korle bu Teaching Hospital mortuary, a lot of dead bodies could be seen piled up like sardines. The ones which have been in the mortuary without anybody coming for them were scattered on some beds. House flies could be seen hovering around the hundreds of dead bodies in the mortuary.
Aside the sorry and disorganised state of the mortuary, the attendants complained bitterly about poor working conditions salaries.
A baby who has died and brought inside the mortuary could be seen lying on the bare floor with flies all over it.
” Seeing the dead baby with flies almost entering his mouth made me shed some tears” Godwin Asediba could be heard at the background of the video as shared by Nana Aba Anamoa.
