Mahama has been vindicated once again by the Npp. The Npp have failed at implementing the e-levy bill and this makes the Npp more uncomfortable. Before the 2024 elections, both political parties are expected to present their works and proof of competence to win the minds and hearts of Ghanaians. But from what we are seeing, there might be a lot more difficult situation for the Npp unless they wake up from their current slumber. Kindly note that this is not a politically biased opinion but an opinion based on a few data collected on the internet governing the current state of the government and the positions of the Npp and Ndc.
Mahama has entitled an adress that he is going to give the public as crossroads. The crossroads address is purported to outline the problems in the current government and possible ways to overcome them. However, it seems the Npp have served Mahama with the necessary bullet he needs to shoot at the Npp and criticize them heavily. The major concern of Mahama and the Ndc in the address which is much anticipated is as a result of the e-levy.
After the implementation of the controversial bill, there have been a lot more issues with the collection and the faults that have come with it. Hands are on heads wailing and crying out to the government to review the tax collections but there have not been any message from the Ghana Revenue Authority. Will this continue even when there are clear evidences that there have been serious mistakes. From the look of things, there will be a lot to talk about considering the mistakes being made by the government. Mahama however might use this as a platform to educate the majority on the need to choose the Ndc over the Npp in the coming elections
