Not long ago, the United States of America dropped its report about Ghana and some controversial stuff which were sighted in the report was that Ghana is one of the few countries where human rights abuses are prevalent in.
Reacting to this, the Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper, Kwesi Pratt surprisingly took a patriotic stand and descended heavily on the United States of America for citing human rights abuse against Ghanaians. He however stated that he was not trying to defend the Akuffo Addo-led government.
“I offer no defense for the current administration but that does not mean that we do not have an obligation to look at the credentials of those who authored this report. I am convinced that the US administration does not have clean hands. In fact, the US is a stort for making any comments about human rights violations anywhere in the world.
“The record of USA stinks. This is a government that has assassins eliminating world leaders. How dare you talk about the human rights violation. This is a government that sponsored the overthrow of Kwame Nkrumah”, he explained
