Reacting to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo’s incessant call for the involvement of political parties in the election of MMDCEs, the Member of Parliament for the North Tongu constituency, Honorable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, boldly argued that it was the parochial interest of the President that made the President make that statement. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa was of the view that the President made that statement out of his impunity and not because of any broader conversation.
In response, the Managing Director of the State Transport Company, Nana Akomea, questioned the host of the show, on which Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa made that statement, as to why he allowed Samuel to use those descriptions against the president.
“Mr. Randy, Sammy has clearly been unfair to the President. And you have allowed him to be unfair to the President. Look at the descriptions he gave to the President. The election of MMDCEs, is the President’s own view? Sammy is giving the impression that it is the personal view of the President and that the country has another view”, he further explained.
