Ghana Premier League, GPL leaders Asante Kotoko has confirmed their readiness for tomorrow’s game with WAFA as they seek the three points.
The Porcupines will be guests to the academy lads at Sogakope on Saturday afternoon as they continue their quest to win this season’s championship.
Coach Prosper Nartey Ogum and his charges arrived in the Volta region in high spirits ahead of the game as they look to bounce back to winning ways.
And, the gaffer is sounding optimistic ahead of the game believing that they have prepared well enough to collect the three points.
Kotoko has lost their last two games, but, Coach Ogum insists they are not under any pressure and that, nothing has changed in their ambition to wrestle the title.
“We are confident and focused for the rest of the campaign and, we have not lost track on what our ambitions are for this season”, Coach Ogum said.
His side leads the standing by seven points from second placed Bechem United as they go into this fixture with WAFA and with eight games to end the campaign, they are the bookmakers favourites to win the diadem.
Tomorrow’s fixture with WAFA will however be tough to negotiate for the Porcupines as they will come up against a side that is battling relegation.
The academy lads are in the bottom three on the table and knows they have to win this game to keep their survival hopes alive.
However, Coach Ogum insists his side will rise to the occasion against his former side as they chase their 16th win of the campaign to carry them on to the goal of winning the 2021-22 GPL title.
