Patapaa, a Ghanaian singer, has defended his song “One Corner” against comparisons to Black Sherif’s “Kweku the Traveller.” Despite Patapaa’s belief that “Kweku the Traveller” is performing exceptionally well on streaming platforms, it cannot be compared to his global hit “One Corner.”
Patapaa stated in an interview with GNA Entertainment that “One Corner” helped to put Ghana on the map of world music and that it should not be disregarded. “I agree that ‘Kwaku the Traveller’ is a success, but it should not be compared to my ‘One Corner.”
“People must respect my ‘One Corner’ song since it put Ghana on the international music map,” he remarked in an interview. In the year 2019, Patapaa released his worldwide hit “One Corner.” Following the craze that accompanied the song, it spread rapidly on social media.
